Osgoode Mediation Clinic

Our mission is to provide free mediation and conflict resolution to the community within and surrounding York University in a manner that empowers individuals to play a critical role in the outcome of their conflicts and disputes, and encourages and promotes access to justice. Under the supervision of the Clinic Director, Jennifer Lam, Osgoode Hall Law School students work closely with local community organizations and groups to assist the community and provide a learning opportunity for students while meeting everyone’s interests.

“The Conflict Coaching at the OMC was a meaningful experience as it helped me see the conflict I was dealing with from various points of view and consider different approaches to it. The work with my coach was excellent due to the trust we built and the shared focus on developing my flexibility and style of communication. Through the coaching, I have gained tools that I will use in the future, beyond the specific case with which I came to the OMC. I’m thankful for receiving this service, which was professional, friendly, and free.”
