Immigration Division

The Immigration division provides new immigrants and refugees to Canada with assistance in a range of proceedings related to establishing their immigration status.

We provide assistance / representation for:

  • Appeals of family sponsorship decisions where one family member is sponsoring a relative to come to Canada.
  • Applications for permanent resident status on humanitarian and compassionate grounds
  • Refugee hearings
  • Pre-Removal Risk Assessments (in exceptional circumstances only)
  • Matters before the Federal Court (in exceptional circumstances only)
  • Detention Review Hearings (in special circumstances)
  • Civil claims against paralegals acting in these areas (up to $10,000)

We do not provide assistance / representation for:

  • Any applications from abroad (including independent applications for permanent residence, work authorizations, student visas).
  • Applications for student visas
