Called to the Ontario Bar in 1985 after graduating from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1983. Received LL.M in Alternative Dispute Resolution from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2001. Former partner and head of the Estates group at Minden, Gross LLP. Currently, partner at Miller Thomson LLP, specializing in the areas of estate litigation, mediation of estate disputes, and estate planning. Adjunct Professor of the Estates and Estate Litigation courses at Osgoode Hall Law School in Toronto since 1991. Author of Wills and Estates: Cases, Text and Materials (4th edition), published by Emond Montgomery Publications Limited. Past Chair of the Executive of the Ontario Bar Association Trusts and Estates Section. Regular speaker at seminars sponsored by the Ontario Bar Association, the Law Society of Upper Canada and other organizations and institutes. 2023 Recipient of OBA Award of Excellence in Trusts and Estates Law.
