Elizabeth Shilton

Ms Shilton practiced labour law for 25 years with the firm of Cavalluzzo Hayes Shilton McIntrye & Cornish. In the course of her litigation practice, she appeared before labour, employment and human rights tribunals, the Ontario courts and the Supreme Court of Canada in leading cases involving labour/employment law, human rights and the Charter. She has taught labour law as an adjunct professor at the University Toronto and labour arbitration at Osgoode. Ms Shilton is co-author of Education Labour and Employment Law in Ontario, published by Canada Law Book, and Redefining Retirement, published by Second Story Press. She is currently completing a doctorate at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law, where her doctoral research focuses on the law of employment pensions. She will also be a Visitor this year at Osgoode’s Institute for Feminist Legal Studies.
