Leslie Dizgun

Partner, Himelfarb Proszanski LLP. Mr. Dizgun is an experienced advocate in corporate, commercial litigation, employment law, and discipline matters. Mr. Dizgun also maintains an active mediation and arbitration practice, and is a chartered mediator. He has received his Master of Laws degree in Alternative Dispute Resolution from Osgoode Hall Law School and is co-author of a book on Mediation Advocacy: Effective Client Representation. Mr. Dizgun is an Adjunct Professor at Osgoode Hall Law School of York University and has taught Civil Procedure. He now teaches “Dispute Settlement” in the Civil Justice System and the Capstone Colloquium in Litigation, Dispute Resolution and the Administration of Justice. Mr. Dizgun has trained Superior Court Judges in effective Settlement Conference practices for the National Judicial Institute; is on the teaching faculty of the Advocates Society; and has served as a Vice-Chair of the Health Services Appeal and Review Board of Ontario. Mr. Dizgun is a frequent speaker and instructor on advocacy and dispute resolution topics at continuing education programs offered by the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Ontario Bar Association, the Mediation and Arbitration Institute of Canada, The Canadian Institute and the Advocates Society.
