Micah Wood
BA (Hons.) (Wilfrid Laurier), MA (Toronto), JD (Toronto), is an associate at Blake, Cassels & Graydon, LLP. Micah advises international and Canadian clients on a wide variety of competition law matters, and has been involved in a number of large, high profile mergers involving significant antitrust issues in industries as varied as telecommunications, media and advertising, consumer products, oil & gas, and medical devices. Micah’s writing has included papers on the interrelation between economics and competition law in network industries and on the “efficiencies defence” in Canadian competition law, and he has participated in governmental policy hearings addressing the future of the efficiencies defence. Micah holds a JD and an MA (Econ.) from the University of Toronto and a BA (Hon. Econ.) from Wilfrid Laurier University. He was called to the Ontario Bar in 2003.
