Due to size limitations to attachments on the mail servers, transferring or sharing of large files via emails might be blocked and won't be delivered to the recipients. The size limit for attachments is 10 MB.

In order to facilitate sharing and distribution of large files amongst the York community, University Information Technology (UIT) has enabled York University Dropbox. This service has replaced the Anonymous FTP service offered in the past.

Large files can be uploaded to the dropbox, and the links e-mailed to multiple contacts.  The recipients can then click on the link and download the files off the York Dropbox Server. Files are retained for up to 7 days after which they are deleted from the server. Please follow the acceptable usage policy outlined by this service.
