Osgoode Hall Law School,

Accessing & Using eRecources from Home

Access to most eResources is restricted by licence with the vendors to current students of York University. While on-campus access is automatic and transparent, you will need to set up a Passport York account to access eResources from off-campus and from home. Instructions are available here.

Note, too, that many law-specific eResources are available only to members of the Osgoode community or from within the Osgoode Hall Law School and Library. Some, such as Westlaw Canada and CCH Online, are available exclusively to Osgoode Hall Law School faculty and students through the publishers' Educational Programs and require individually-assigned passwords, available from the Osgoode library. All such restrictions on access are noted in the the list of research databases on this website. No exceptions can be made to these restrictions.

The use of all eResources is governed both by licences with the vendors and by copyright law. Please read the Libraries' Acceptable Use Guide for eResources, an introduction to best practices.
