Professor Kate Sutherland is Writer in Residence at Open Book Ontario for the month of October.  The occasion for this is the publication of her first book of poems, How to Draw a Rhinoceros (BookThug). Click here to read Open Book’s interview with Sutherland.

Sutherland is in Glasgow, Scotland this week presenting a paper titled “Using Law Against Itself: Muriel Rukeyser’s Documentary Poetics” at a poetry symposium co-sponsored by the University of Glasgow and a number of cultural organizations. The paper is linked to a project she is working on this term with the support of an Osgoode Research Fellowship.
