Funding

Funding packages

Each student receives a letter stating the total amount of their funding package and the period of time that it covers. This letter is sent to the student when the Program recommends to York that they be admitted.

Guaranteed funding is provided only to full-time graduate students. Part-time graduate students will not receive funding.

Scholarships

Some of the funding package provided to graduate students in the Program consists of scholarship funding that is administered and awarded within York University.

Funding received by a student from a scholarship administered and awarded outside York University will be not be considered as part of their funding package. Those students will receive their funding package support in addition to the scholarship.

Students are encouraged to apply for all scholarships that they are eligible for, including scholarships offered by York, Ontario Graduate Scholarships, and the various SSHRC scholarships.

Employment
