Osgoode Hall Law School,

Joint JD/MBA (Schulich)

The Osgoode-Schulich Juris Doctor / Master of Business Administration program offers students the benefit of degrees from two of Canada’s top-ranked professional schools.

By combining both a Juris Doctor from Osgoode Hall Law School and a Master of Business Administration from the Schulich School of Business, students in this four-year program graduate well-equipped with the skills and connections to pursue careers in various business and law fields. Some examples include:

  • Corporate/Commercial Law & Administration
  • Business Management
  • Corporate Tax Planning
  • Economic Regulation
  • Finance
  • International Business
  • Labour Law & Relations
  • Public Administration
  • Environmental Law
  • Real Property Development

Students in the JD/MBA program spend their first year in either the Law School or the Business School, their second year in the first year of the other program, and the remaining two years in both programs. See the Osgoode syllabus for program details and academic requirements.

JD/MBA students have access to all the support resources of both schools, including financial aid, career services, and a wide array of student organizations. Students also benefit from numerous social and professional networking opportunities arranged exclusively for joint program students by the JD/MBA Students’ Association.

Applicants must apply and be accepted into both programs to be eligible for admission to the joint program. While most students will apply prior to starting their studies at either school, a small number of students are accepted into the program after completing their first year at either school. An accelerated three-year program including summer studies is also available, but not to students entering the program after first year. See the admissions pages at Osgoode and Schulich for detailed application information.
