Welcome to Osgoode Chambers, a comfortable, convenient and affordable home away from home unique to Osgoode Hall Law School students. Osgoode Chambers offers law students the opportunity to live with other law students, both first-year and upper-years, as well as graduate students. In addition to establishing great friendships and professional relationships from the start, this residence allows students access to upper-year mentors who offer invaluable support and guidance as you begin your legal studies at Osgoode.

Located across the street from the Law School in the award-winning Passy Gardens housing complex, Osgoode Chambers offers tastefully furnished bachelor and one-bedroom townhouse suites in a courtyard setting. Every suite is self-contained with a kitchen and bathroom. For your convenience, wireless Internet access is provided. Laundry facilities are centrally located. The York University campus has 24-hour security as well as the “Go Safe” escort program.

At Osgoode Chambers, your suite offers the privacy you need to get down to work. And when you’re ready for a break, there’s the Owls’ Nest where you can relax, watch a widescreen TV, and enjoy the company of your Osgoode neighbours.

You will be close to classes, friends, food (there are about 40 restaurants and food kiosks on campus) and recreation facilities including an adjacent football field. Osgoode Chambers overlooks a pretty woodlot and a pond and also has a courtyard where trees, park benches and a barbecue beckon. The bus to the Downsview subway station and the city’s attractions is right outside your door, and there is plenty of shopping nearby.

Incoming first-year students who firmly accept Osgoode’s offer of admission are guaranteed accommodation at Osgoode Chambers for the full three years of study as long as they hold a continuous 12-month lease. Students also have the option of an 8-month lease if they want the first year only at Osgoode Chambers. Suites will be allocated on a first-come, first-serve basis. Students who apply before June 15th are guaranteed an apartment assignment in Osgoode Chambers.

When you receive the acknowledgement from Osgoode, confirming receipt of your firm acceptance, you will need to set up a Passport York account though York University.  Once your Passport York account is set up, you can apply to the Osgoode Chambers online. Please note the timing of student activity batch updates may affect the ability to set up a Passport York account. We recommend you wait at least 5 business days, (from the date of acknowledgement) before setting up your Passport York account.
