How to Change an LLB to a JD Degree Designation
In 2009 Osgoode Hall Law School’s undergraduate law degree designation was changed from Bachelor of Laws (LLB) to Juris Doctor (JD). The JD is, in effect, the same degree as an LLB, however, the JD recognizes that the degree holder has, in most cases, completed a period of post-secondary education prior to entering law school and that law is a second-entry degree.
Alumni who wish to to change their degree designation may do so through the York University Convocation Diploma Services.
Visit Legal & Lit’s Online Gift Shop to order sweatshirts, t-shirts or other Osgoode branded merchandise.
