Mentor an Osgoode Student

The Osgoode Mentor Program connects alumni to current upper-year JD students who are looking for advice on anything from course selection to career advice.  Most groups will meet in person at least once each term however some find email or telephone calls to be more beneficial.

To become an Alumni Mentor, please email mentor@osgoode.yorku.ca.  You will be asked to complete a brief profile which will be used to match you to interested students.

Osgoode and Pro Bono Students Canada (PBSC)

Pro Bono Students Canada matches volunteer law students with public interest organizations, government agencies and tribunals, and lawyers doing pro bono, reduced fee and/or public interest work.  If you have a project for a PBSC student, contact Osgoode’s PBSC coordinator at probono@osgoode.yorku.ca or 416-736-2100 ext. 22590

Osgoode Public Interest Requirement (OPIR)

All JD students must complete 40-hours of unpaid public interest law related work to fulfill this graduation requirement.  If you have work that you think might qualify and would like an Osgoode student to help, please contact the OPIR Office at opiradmin@osgoode.yorku.ca or at 416-736-5138.
