Words in Art, Art in Words:

Symbiosis and Struggle in Narrating the Geopolitical Economy of Contemporary Massacre

Speaker: Professor Craig Scott (Osgoode Hall Law School)

Venue: Room 1003/Online

About this session:

Professor Scott will discuss the experience of creating a diptych of artworks in collaboration with his colleague, Toronto/Cairo/Istanbul-based visual artist Amir Shingray – and then the struggle to write about the works. The 27×39-inch multi-media paintings, concerning the geopolitical economy (and legal discourses) of mass killings in Darfur and Gaza, will be displayed.
