The Honourable Mr. Justice Steve Coroza was appointed to the Ontario Court of Justice on December 2, 2009. He was called to the Bar of Ontario, February,1997 and practiced criminal law as a staff criminal duty counsel for Legal Aid Ontario in Toronto, a Federal Crown Attorney with the Department of Justice and Public Prosecution Service of Canada.   Justice Coroza appeared as counsel on behalf of the federal government in criminal prosecutions at all levels of court including the Ontario Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of Canada.   His practice involved primarily criminal litigation and criminal appeals.  In addition to his role as an instructor with the Trial Advocacy Seminar, Justice Coroza is an instructor with the Intensive Trial Advocacy Worshop (Osgoode Professional Development Program) and a guest instructor with the University of Notre Dame Trial Advocacy Program.
