Nick Devlin is Senior Counsel with the Public Prosecution Service of Canada, in charge of federal criminal appeals in Ontario. Before joining the Crown, he practiced at Torys and served as Law Clerk to the Hon. Justice John Major. Mr. Devlin holds his LLB (Gold Medalist) from the University of Calgary and completed his LLM at the University of Toronto in the area of freedom of the press. His practice focuses on constitutional challenges to legislation at the trial level and complex criminal appeals. He also travels frequently to Nunavut to prosecute Criminal Code offences and conduct appeals. A frequent speaker at CLE events, Mr. Devlin has been teaching Trial Advocacy since 2007 and is a Team Leader at the Intensive Trial Advocacy Workshop.
