Michael Power is one of Canada‟s leading authorities on privacy and data protection law. A graduate of Dalhousie University‟s Faculty of Law, Mr. Power has extensive work experience as a corporate/commercial lawyer, working with private law firms as well as public agencies. He was recently Partner at Gowling, LaFleur Henderson, as well as Vice President of Privacy and Security at eHealth Ontario. Mr. Power is a sought-after speaker and panelist, as well as the author of two books on privacy: (1) Halsbury’s Laws of Canada, Access to Information and Privacy, and; (2) Sailing in Dangerous Waters: A Director’s Guide to Data Governance. He has additional manuscripts in preparation for publication.
