Brendan Van Niejenhuis

Brendan Van Niejenhuis is a partner in Stockwoods LLP in Toronto. He practices administrative and public law, commercial and class-action litigation, and selected criminal matters. He regularly appears before all levels of court in Ontario as well as the Federal Courts and various administrative tribunals. He has often acted in professional discipline and regulatory cases, and has advised and represented both federal and provincial agencies and disciplinary bodies, in relation to their regulatory activities as well as civil litigation. Mr. Van Niejenhuis speaks and writes on various professional topics. He has previously taught Administrative Law at Queen’s University Faculty of Law, as well as an upper-year seminar on the law of justiciability (both with Owen Rees). Mr. Van Niejenhuis holds a B.A. (Hons.) and LL.B., both from the University of Toronto He clerked for Mr. Justice Frank Iacobucci at the Supreme Court of Canada, and was admitted to the Ontario bar in 2002.
