Koenraad de Feyter is a full-time Professor of Public International Law at the University of Antwerp, where he acts as the Spokesperson of the Research Group on Law and Development. He is also a member of the Executive Committee of the global Law and Development Research Network (LDRn). He has published widely on development and human rights, and have taught or conducted research in twenty countries in the Global South.He currently also serves as a member of the UN Human Rights Council Drafting Group on a legally binding instrument on the right to development – which will be the focus of this talk.
