Osgoode ITS is here to support your teaching activities, providing technology that will help to engage with your students.  These resources will help you to plan and deliver your course.

ZoomUse Zoom to host virtual classes. Share your screen, chat with your students, use a digital whiteboard and more when hosting classes with Zoom.

E-mailing your classCommunicate with your students via eClass, or by building a mailing group from MyOsgoode.  Note that your eClass site must be made visible in order to send communications to students.

Training and Additional Help

  • Use the training resources linked from the eClass, Lecture Recordings and Video Conference pages
  • Book a one-on-one training sessions for eClass, Zoom or Panopto by e-mailing the Osgoode ITS Helpdesk, help@osgoode.yorku.ca
  • A Classroom Support Technician will come to your first in-person class, 30 minutes prior to the start, to show you how to use the equipment

  • BOLD – Going RemoteThe Teaching Commons has guides for organizing your course, creating and sharing content, engaging with students and more. Use these resources to help plan a remote or hybrid course.

Creating and Sharing Asynchronous Materials

  • eClassUse eClass, powered by Moodle, to disseminate syllabi, readings, links and other course materials with your class. You can also host discussion forums and provide links to lecture recordings.
  • Lecture RecordingsUse Panopto or Zoom to record lectures in the classroom, or remotely. When using Panopto, recordings will be posted automatically to your eClass site
