Collection Development Policy

Osgoode Hall Law School Library’s collection development policy emphasizes both existing and developing areas of topical and material strengths in its collection. It also establishes a significant role for digital resources and is reflective of our current understanding of the balance between print and digital in contemporary Canadian law. Though the policy is a only a general guide to our practices, we hope that sharing it will contribute to a better understanding of our collections and of our role as a resource for all Canadians. We invite comment and hope it contributes to our own better sense of how to develop our collections in the future. The current policy was last updated in February, 2019. The current collection development policy for special collections was last updated in March, 2017.
