The Osgoode Bench is a distinguished database of judges and lawyers who contribute to experiential legal education by volunteering their time to Osgoode’s wide array of mooting, skills and clinical programs.
Osgoode’s Mooting Program is an incredible experience for students. They learn to think, analyze and present a persuasive argument in a setting that is different from a classroom. Our students have told us that Mooting is one of the most important learning experience of their JD degree.
What makes the experience particularly valuable is the interaction with lawyers and judges. They bring a real world perspective to students that is exciting and enriching. Osgoode has always been fortunate to have both alumni and non-alumni involved in our program as coaches, judges and actors. The amount of time that needs to be committed varies.
