Osgoode students have access to a wide variety of opportunities to gain international experience outside of formal studies.
Teach in China Program
Interested in combining a challenging job with travel in a fascinating foreign country? For the past 12 years, Osgoode has sent two to three graduates each year to teach law at Southwest University of Political Science and Law in the City of Chongqing, located in the province of Sichuan, People’s Republic of China.
Those hired leave Canada toward the end of August and return the following year at the end of June. Each visiting teacher is provided with a rent-free apartment, air travel costs, and a monthly salary roughly equivalent to $900.00 Canadian. While in China, visiting teachers may enrol in Mandarin courses, and have the opportunity to travel throughout China during the month-long Chinese New Year holiday (which is generally in February).

International Legal Partnership
Each summer, International Legal Partnership (ILP) offers Osgoode students the opportunity to utilize their legal training on projects with local impact through internships at international and local NGOs in developing countries around the globe.
ILP arranges 20-25 internship positions each year and provides pre-departure training and ongoing support throughout the placement. The application process begins in January for the following summer.
Summer Internship Programs
There are several opportunities for international internships as part of Osgoode’s Summer Internship Program.
