Each year Osgoode hosts French Legal Terminology Roundtables in the winter term where students learn:
- the French terminology necessary for practice
- how to conduct legal research in French
- how to write persuasively in French
Students who participate in the program will use new skills in a hands-on environment, while networking with French speaking legal professionals and enhancing their own community of French speaking colleagues.
All Osgoode JD and full-time LLM students who are comfortable speaking conversational French and interested in clerking, articling and eventually practising law in French. Sessions will be entirely in French. Registration details and additional information on session dates, times and locations will be available in the fall.
