Free LSAT Prep Course

Osgoode’s Access to Law and Learning (ALL) is a free course to help high-potential, low income students prepare for the Law School Admission Test (LSAT).

As an ALL participant you will:

  • Receive comprehensive LSAT training from an experienced instructor
  • Access all study materials, including practice LSAT tests
  • Obtain ongoing online support
  • Gain insight into law school, the legal profession and admissions and financial aid through a series of guest panels

Details

  • The program will run from Tuesday June 11, 2024 until Thursday August 22, 2024.
  • Classes take place 6:00pm – 9:00pm on Tuesday evenings and 6:00pm – 8:00pm on Thursday evenings
  • This year, the program will be delivered remotely. All program participants will require an internet-accessible device with microphone and camera for the duration of the program.
  • To participate in the program, you must sign up for a LSAC account and apply for a LSAT Fee Waiver. This is required to receive access to the LSAC Law Hub and prep materials that the instructor will be using to teach the course.  Further details are below.

Eligibility

To be eligible, you must:

  • Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, protected person or convention refugee;
  • Be in your third or fourth year of undergraduate study in a program leading to a degree, or have recently graduated with a university degree;
  • Intend to write the LSAT between now and January 2025 and apply to law school for September 2025 or 2026 entry;
  • Have a cumulative post-secondary average of 77 [B+] or higher;
  • Be from a low-income family as evidenced by a Canada Revenue Agency notices of assessment (for self and parents/guardian/spouse etc.).  See Table 1 of the Federal Income Scales (Quebec | rest of Canada) to determine if your family is low income
  • Sign up for a LSAC account and apply for an LSAC Fee Waiver for Canada.

Please note:  Special consideration will be given to students who have completed the LAWS program

Application Process

  1. If you have not already done so, sign up for a LSAC Account.
  2. Apply for a LSAC Fee Waiver for Canada. Instructions are available here.
  3. Complete the ALL application form, including submitting all required documentation
  4. Advise Vicky Faclaris, admissions@osgoode.yorku.ca as soon as you have the results of your LSAC Fee Waiver application.
