York University, its colleges, schools, departments and student groups regularly organize and host events on refugee and forced migration issues, including public lectures and seminars. This initiative is working with the Centre for Refugee Studies to highlight all of these events in a single calendar on the CRS website. We encourage university community members to send the centre information on these events so we may help share word about them.
We encourage you to submit campus events and subscribe to the CRS News list to receive news of refugee related events and initiatives.
In order to be posted, all events must be campus based and include the following in a text (non-image) format:
- Event title
- Event date and time
- Event location
- Event cost
- Contact name, affiliation, and email address
- Link to event webpage if available
- A short description of the event
This information can be sent to CRS Coordinator Michele Millard at email@example.com .
Listserv- CRS News
To help promote campus-wide knowledge of refugee issues and awareness, the CRSNEWS listserv is available by subscription to all members of the York University community to learn of and share refugee-related events and initiatives on campus. We are encouraging all campus groups to share news of their events and initiatives through this list and for members of the university community to subscribe.
The list also includes employment opportunities and other announcements of interest to all CRS members. These may include: announcements of events, notices of meetings, information about research projects, discussions of (project-related) topics of interest to the members of the centre, etc.
You may request to be subscribed to the CRS list by contacting CRS Coordinator Michele Millard at firstname.lastname@example.org .
