HOW TO Get Started With Computing Services

Toggle secondary navigation

Welcome to Osgoode Hall Law School.  We are pleased to have you on board!

Here’s how you can get setup with your computing services.

ACCOUNTS

Your manager will have already contacted you about creating a Passport York account.  If you do not have a Passport York account, please speak with your manager.

WORKSTATION

Your workstation will be setup for you at your desk.  When you come in on your first day, please sign in to your workstation using your Passport York credentials.  The first time you sign in, your workstation will take a few extra minutes to load.

E-MAIL & CALENDARING

There are multiple ways to access your e-mail account.  See HOW TO Access E-Mail & Calendaring to  access your e-mail on your desktop or on your mobile device.

IBM NOTES

If you require an IBM Notes setup configuration to access certain business applications, contact help@osgoode.yorku.ca and a technician will contact you to complete the configuration.

FILE STORAGE SERVICES

Under My PC, you will see departmental drives where you can access and save documents.  Your manager will help you understand the structure of your department’s network share.

With permission from your manager, see HOW TO Remotely Access Network Shares.

PRINTING & SCANNING

Osgoode has high speed multi-function printers.  See HOW TO Print & Scan documents.

ELECTRONIC CLASSROOMS

All classrooms at Osgoode have built in technology.  See how to use the technology in the classrooms, and how to book additional assistance when you need it.

LEARNING MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS

Osgoode uses the Moodle learning management system.  See how to become more familiar with Moodle and its features.

MOBILE DEVICES

If you are receiving a mobile phone, you will be contacted by the Osgoode ITS Helpdesk once your device is ready to be picked up.

WHAT IF I HAVE TROUBLE?

If you are having trouble getting setup on your workstation, contact help@osgoode.yorku.ca to create a service request ticket for assistance.
