Aaron Grinhaus is a lawyer and internationally recognized expert in business and tax law who advises on offshore and cross border structuring, complex and domestic corporate and estate structuring and reorganizations, regulated professional practices and commercial transactions.
Over the years, Aaron has acted as chair, presenter and lecturer through a number of organizations, including the Ontario Bar Association (OBA) and the Law Society of Ontario and Osgoode, and at several international conferences such as Futurist, Collision, and Fintech Islands. He has also had the privilege of having served on the Governing Council and several section executive boards of the OBA and has acted as General Counsel to large not for profit organizations such as the Mississauga Real Estate Board.
Aaron has also carved out a niche as a thought leader in how new and developing technologies affect International Tax issues. He is the author of “A Practical Guide to Smart Contracts & Blockchain Law” (LexisNexis), the world’s first legal textbook on Web3 and Metaverse law, and was seen as a legal innovator when in January 2022, Grinhaus Law Firm became the first Canadian law firm with an office in the Metaverse. He is also a founding member of the Metaverse Bar Association (MetBA.io) and has served as co-director of Osgoode’s prestigious Certificate Program in Web3, Metaverse and Blockchain law.
