About Osgoode Hall Law Library

The Osgoode Hall Law Library houses a vast collection of print and digital resources on all aspects of the law and legal scholarship. Our professional law librarians provide support to students, faculty and other researchers in a quiet, well-designed environment for reading, writing and reflection.

Outstanding Legal Resources and Support

The library houses more than 800,000 volumes, including the largest collection of historical Canadian legal texts and primary sources. Our holdings also include many country- and topic-specific resources — notably those focused on the laws of Australia, India and the Caribbean, as well as international commercial arbitration and United Nations treaties and documents. Our large and growing array of online and digital resources includes HeinOnline, LexisNexis, Quicklaw and WestlawNext Canada.

Osgoode’s librarians, qualified in the law as well as librarianship, are available to assist with reference and research inquiries. They also provide training and support for the library’s extensive digital resources.
