Erin O’Donovan is Associate Vice President in the Corporate Finance Division at the Ontario Securities Commission, where she leads a multidisciplinary team of lawyers, accountants, and sector specialists. Her responsibilities include regulatory oversight of the crypto, real estate, and syndicated mortgage sectors, and the exempt market for securities. Prior to joining the Ontario Securities Commission, Erin practiced corporate and securities law in the Toronto office of an international law firm.
Erin holds a Certificate in Canadian Financial Services Regulation, Analysis and Decision Making from Osgoode Professional Development. She received an LL.B. from Osgoode Hall Law School and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Dalhousie University.
Erin is an active volunteer in the legal profession and community. She is the current President of the Women’s Law Association of Ontario and is past-President of the Toronto Lawyers’ Association, where she served on the Board for more than a decade. She is a long standing volunteer with Toronto Lawyers Feed the Hungry and has judged the Davies Corporate/Securities Law Moot Court Competition for more than ten years.
