LLB (Osgoode), of the Bar of Ontario, is a senior partner of Davies Ward Phillips & Vineberg LLP where she practises corporate and securities law, with a particular emphasis on corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions. She is recognized as one of Canada’s leading experts on cross-border corporate finance, advising both public companies and U.S. and Canadian investment dealers. Past Chair of the Securities Advisory Committee to the Ontario Securities Commission, a former legal advisor to the Chairman of the Ontario Securities Commission and a past Chair of the Securities Law Subcommittee of the Business Law Section of the Canadian Bar Association – Ontario. She has also served on an advisory committee to the Senate Banking Committee on the subject of a federal securities commission. Ms. Olasker is an adjunct professor at Osgoode Hall Law School and has written and spoken widely on corporate and securities law matters. Ms. Olasker received an LLB from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1977 and was called to the Ontario Bar in 1979. She also studied in the LLM program at the University of California, Berkeley in 1980.
