Borrowers may check the status of their library account by visiting Omni and signing in. Library accounts are automatically created for York University/Osgoode community members who are actively registered with the university, whether as a full-time student, faculty, or staff, and for those who have been issued a temporary library card, such as visiting scholars, OPD associates, or alumni. Consult our library cards page for more information.

For York University and Osgoode community members, use your Passport York credentials to log in. For borrowers that use a temporary library card, your card’s barcode password that you created after first sign-in can be used.

From your account, you can

  • Check your loans
  • Renew your loans
  • Review any blocks on your account
  • See messages from the library
  • Manage and pay fees and fines
  • Check the status of your requests
  • Check your library account expiry date

Additionally, any resources in Omni that you marked as favourite are saved here.

Need Help with your Library Account?

Osgoode Library borrowers should contact the Osgoode circulation desk for issues related to library account access. External borrowers can reset their PIN password by visiting Omni. At the top-right of the screen, click Sign in and choose Barcode and Password. The select Reset Password for Barcode Login.
