Five Osgoode alumni appointed to Ontario’s new Business Law Advisory Council

Carol Hansell (pictured), Joint LLB/MBA ’86, founder and Senior Partner of Hansell LLP, has been appointed Chair of Ontario’s new Business Law Advisory Council that will make recommendations to reform laws that are responsive to changing business priorities and supportive of a prosperous economy.

Other Advisory Council members who are Osgoode alumni include: Jennifer Babe, LLB ’79, Partner, Miller Thomson LLP;  Andy Chan, JD ’00, Partner, Miller Thomson LLP and Managing Partner of the Markham office;  Doug Downey, LLM ’08, Partner, Lewis, Downey, Tornosky, Lassaline & Timpano;  and John Ground, Q.C., LLB ’59, J.D. Ground Commercial Resolutions Inc.
