Osgoode rakes in awards at 14th Annual International Law School Mediation Tournament

Congratulations to Osgoode’s team of seven students on receiving outstanding praise and awards at the 14th Annual International Law School Mediation Tournament in Des Moines, Iowa in March.

Osgoode won:
1st and 5th Place Mediator Team;
1st Place (Adam Shehata) and 2nd Place (Matthew McKarney) Outstanding Individual Mediator; and
2nd and 6th Place Advocate-Client Team.

The students were coached by Allan Socken ’05, ’09 (LLM).

The International Law School Mediation Tournament provides law students with the opportunity to learn about various forms and techniques used in mediation, as well as the opportunity to practise  their mediation skills in friendly competition with other students from around the world.
