Professor Faisal Bhabha gave the keynote address March 7 at Iceland’s Gender Equality Forum in Reykjavik.
The forum is organized by the Iceland Ministry of Welfare every two years (as required by law) to assess the progress of gender equality across the various branches of government charged with implementing gender equality. Iceland is one of the best places in the world to be a woman. Its new legislation on Equal Pay Certification came into effect on January 1, 2018.
The title of Bhabha’s talk was “Building a Society Free from Discrimination: The Canadian Perspective.”
