Subodh Bharati is the Supervising Lawyer of the Immigration Law Division at the Community and Legal Aid Services Program (CLASP). He supervises Osgoode Hall Law School students in representing vulnerable clients in a broad range of immigration matters, including immigration detention hearings, refugee claims, applications for permanent residence on humanitarian and compassionate grounds, and judicial reviews before the Federal Court.
Subodh has appeared before all Divisions of the Immigration and Refugee Board, the Federal Court of Canada, the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, and the Ontario Court of Appeal. He has also intervened before the Supreme Court of Canada.
He graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2007 and was called to the Bar in 2008. Prior to law school, Subodh completed an MSc in Mathematics from King’s College, University of London, and an Honours BA in Philosophy and Mathematics from the University of Western Ontario.
