Teagan Markin is a Partner at Borden Ladner Gervais LLP in Toronto, ON and Co-Chair of BLG’s Appellate and Public Advocacy Groups. She is an experienced litigator with expertise in public law, white collar defence and appellate advocacy in addition to commercial litigation and arbitration. She regularly deals with complex issues involving constitutional law and civil liberties, elections, transportation, professional regulation and other regulatory and criminal matters. Teagan has argued cases before administrative tribunals, all levels of court in Ontario (including the Divisional Court and Court of Appeal for Ontario), the Federal Courts and the Supreme Court of Canada.

Teagan obtained her Juris Doctor (J.D.) from the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University (2017, Gold Medallist) and earned a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from Harvard Law School (2022). She also completed a judicial clerkship for the Honourable Justice Rosalie Silberman Abella at the Supreme Court of Canada (2017-2018). She regularly speaks and publishes on public and appellate law matters.
