Amanda McLachlan

Amanda McLachlan is a lawyer with Bennett Jones LLP. Her general litigation practice focuses on complex corporate and commercial disputes, employment litigation and class actions.

Ms. McLachlan has motion, application, trial and appeal experience before all courts in Ontario. She regularly appears before a number of administrative and regulatory boards and tribunals, including the Ontario Labour Relations Board and the Ontario Human Rights Tribunal. She has experience in matters pertaining to securities regulatory and enforcement matters, internal investigations, shareholder disputes, directors’ and officers’ liability, professional negligence, oppression proceedings, claims relating to post-employment obligations, including moving for and responding to injunctions, and class proceedings, among others. She also has experience in civil fraud litigation, including Norwich orders, mareva injunctions and enforcement of civil judgments.

While attending the University of Windsor, Faculty of Law, Ms. McLachlan competed in the Arnup Cup Trial Advocacy Competition as a member of the winning team. She also competed in the Pace International Criminal Law Moot Competition in New York, where she was recognized as the top oralist in her round of the competition; and in the Sopinka Cup advocacy competition.
