Copying E-Mail

You may want to copy e-mail from your Office 365 account to your personal e-mail account if your @osgoode.yorku.ca e-mail is going to expire due to graduation.

  1. Install Microsoft Outlook
    1. Sign In to portal.office.com using your Passport York credentials
    2. Click Install Office and follow the instructions to install Outlook
  2. Launch Microsoft Outlook and sign in using your Passport York credentials (@yorku.ca)
  3. Add your personal account to Outlook
    1. Click File – Account Settings – Account Settings
    2. Click New
    3. Follow the instructions to add your personal account to Outlook
  4. Drag the folders you want to keep from the Osgoode account into your personal account

Copying Contacts and Calendar Entries

If your personal account supports importing of contact or calendar files from CSV files, you can export these items from Outlook.

  1. Install Microsoft Outlook
    1. Sign In to portal.office.com using your Passport York credentials
    2. Click Install Office and follow the instructions to install Outlook
  2. Launch Microsoft Outlook and sign in using your Passport York credentials (@yorku.ca)
  3. Click File – Open & Export – Import/Export
  4. Click Export to a File and select Comma Separated Values and click Next
  5. Select Calendar or Contacts from the list and click Next
  6. Type a file name and click Browse to select where you want to save the file
  7. Follow the instructions in your personal account to import the file containing the calendar or contacts export
