The Board of Regents of the American College of Trial Lawyers has voted to award the Samuel E. Gates Litigation Award to Osgoode Visiting Professor David Lepofsky in recognition of his significant contributions to the Bar and the profession and his work as a pioneer in the field of human rights and disability law.
The Samuel E. Gates Award, which is not conferred each year, is one of the most prestigious honours presented by the College. The award was established in 1980 “to honour a lawyer or judge who has made a significant contribution to the improvement of the litigation process.”
The award will be presented to Lepofsky next year.
