Congratulations to Dianne Saxe ’74, ’91 (PhD) on her appointment as Environmental Commissioner of Ontario, effective December 1.
Recognized by Best of the Best, 2008 as one of the world’s top 25 environmental lawyers, Saxe has four decades of experience in environmental law for the Ontario government and in private practice as head of her own law firm since 1991.  She is a Certified Specialist in Environmental Law and holds a Doctorate of Jurisprudence (PhD) in environmental law.  Called to the Ontario bar in 1976, she is also a certified, experienced mediator.
Saxe has received numerous awards including the Ontario Bar Association Distinguished Service Award and the Osgoode Hall Law School Alumni Gold Key Award in 2013 for Achievement.
