Record Suspension Applications (Pardons)

CLASP assists individuals with applying to the Parole Board of Canada for a record suspension. A Record Suspension effectively removes a previous criminal record from the Canadian Police Information Centre (CPIC) database.

For more information about eligibility, waiting periods, and process, visit the government of Canada website for record suspensions.

Toronto Police Service Records and Fingerprint Destruction Appeals

Individuals found not guilty of their criminal charge(s), or had charges withdrawn, can apply to the Toronto Police Service (TPS) to destroy any fingerprints, photographs, and records of dispositions associated with their charge(s).

If the TPS rejects an individual’s application, CLASP can help to appeal this decision.

Police Complaints

CLASP assists with filing police complaints to the Office of the Independent Police Review Director (OIPRD).
