Service Details

If you are new to Osgoode and do not have a Passport York account, click I’m New to Osgoode to get started.

Your Passport York account provides access to your computing services at Osgoode.  Choose one of these categories to get information on the different services available.

Login to Manage My Services to check your Passport York account; and change or reset your password.  Additional information on the Passport York service, and tips for creating a secure password can be found on the Passport York page.

Multi-Factor Authentication

Multi-factor authentication via Duo 2FA is required for access to computing services.

After you have created your Passport York account, you will be prompted to set up a device with Duo 2FA to be able to access your services.  You can use Duo 2FA on a phone or tablet device.  See UIT’s Information Security page for details on setting up Duo 2FA and obtaining a hardware token.

Use the Duo Self-Service Device Management (SSDM) Portal to manage devices already enrolled with Duo.  With this portal, you can switch to new devices and remove existing devices.

Changing your Password

  1. Go to Manage my Services (mms.yorku.ca)
  2. Check the box that reads Click this box before logging in to change your Passport York password
  3. Sign in using your Passport York credentials
  4. Follow the instructions to change your password

Resetting your Password

If you have forgotten your password, follow these instructions to reset it.

  1. Go to Passport York Security Questions
  2. Enter your employee number and click Next Step
  3. You will receive an e-mail to your @yorku.ca e-mail address; click on the verification link in the message
  4. Provide the answers to your security questions, and you will be prompted to create a new password

If you cannot reset your password using this method, send an e-mail to help@osgoode.yorku.ca requesting a password reset from your @osgoode.yorku.ca e-mail address.  If you cannot access your @osgoode.yorku.ca e-mail, send an e-mail from your personal account with the following information:

  • Full Name
  • Passport York username
  • Osgoode e-mail address
  • Employee ID

Updating your Password on your Workstation

  1. If you are not on campus, connect to VPN
  2. Press Windows + L to lock your screen
  3. Sign into your computer with your updated password

If you are using your personal computer, you will need re-map any Network Share Drives that you normally use.

  1. Once you have changed your Passport York password, connect to VPN using your Passport York username and new password
  2. Right-click on the Network Share Drive that you’re trying to access in “This PC”
  3. Click “Disconnect”
  4. Restart your computer
  5. Re-map the Network Share Drive using the following instructions on Accessing FAS Shared Volumes Remotely

Changing your Preferred Name

Your preferred name will be displayed when logging into your workstation, in HR Self-Service and various other services.  To change your preferred name:

  1. Login to HR Self Serve
  2. Click Personal Details
  3. Click Primary Name Change

Changing your Passport York Username

Note: If you choose to change your Passport York username, your workstation will need to be re-configured and your @yorku.ca e-mail address will change.

  1. Send an e-mail to help@osgoode.yorku.ca from your @osgoode.yorku.ca e-mail with the following information:
    1. Full Name
    2. Current Passport York username
    3. Three options for the new username (usernames have an eight-character limit)

Onboarding and Offboarding Employees

You can find information here for setting up new accounts for staff, faculty and students.

  • Department managers must follow the processes under Onboarding Employees to get new employees access to computing services.
  • Department managers must follow the processes under Offboarding Employees to de-activate services for employees who are leaving their current role.
